Disney Destiny debuts in November 2025 with Super-Heroes keeping Villains in check

Disney Destiny is the name for Disney Cruise Line’s third Triton Class ship with a theme of “Heroes and Villains.” A sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny will sail an inaugural season of four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning in November 2025. As the Heroes and Villains duke it out for control of the Disney Destiny reveals, it’s up to a team of superheroes to save the day, and it starts the moment you walk in the Grand Hall.

Wakanda Forever! Enter your Disney Destiny

The Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny is the place that wows you when you first walk on the ship, and the centerpiece is a grand statue of Black Panther, T’Challa King of Wakanda. Colors and design of the space is inspired by the Marvel Studios “Black Panther” films including metalwork on the pillars inspired by the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda. The dramatic Grand Hall chandelier evokes Vibranium, the rare metallic ore found in the fictional nation, and creates lighting effects throughout the day.

Just off the Grand Hall, on decks four and five is Saga, the two-story entertainment venue that puts families in the heart of their epic story during the day and hosts adult exclusive shows in the evening. Saga is where guests can participate in interactive game shows like “Match Your Mate” and “Family Time Game Show” while surrounded by the design and architecture fitting of the finest Wakandan royalty.

Superheroes from Stem to Stern

On the bow of the ship is Minnie Mouse in skirt and cape striking her best superhero pose.

Bringing up the rear, and holding on for life, is your friendly neighborhood stowaway Spider-Man as the stern character on the Disney Destiny. The larger-than-life sculpture showcases Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, who are making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship.

You just can’t wait… to eat like a king

Each of the Triton Class ships feature a signature dinner theater in the round concept, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish, Plaza de Coco on the Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny will feature Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King.

Families will hold their bread baskets aloft like a baby cub when dining at “Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King,” and Academy-award-winning music from Disney’s iconic film will come to life during this dinner show. The restaurant’s decor is inspired by the African savanna and will depict animals and nature animated through lighting and special effects. The venue’s back wall will transform from sunrise to sunset throughout the meal.

During the show, musicians and storytellers take the stage in the center of the restaurant and perform versions of familiar songs including “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata,” plus a mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared,” a fun take that highlights the hero-villain dynamic of the story.

Just like its sister ships, Disney Destiny will also host Worlds of Marvel themed restaurant. This high-tech restaurant features an Avengers Technology Showcase, and will have guests rocking along with Guardians of the Galaxy’s Groot and Rocket in “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix”.

Rounding out the three main dining venues is 1923, an elegant restaurant celebrating Hollywood’s golden age of Disney animation. Named for the founding year of the Disney company, 1923 is filled with drawings, props, and artwork showcasing classic animated tales of heroes and villains featured in “Hercules,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Big Hero 6,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” and more.

All of the main dining venues will utilize Disney Cruise Line’s signature concept of rotational dining. Guests enjoy one of the three restaurants each night accompanied by a dedicated service team assigned to their family throughout the voyage. The location changes each evening, but families have the same service where the staff gets to know your likes, dislikes, and preferences.

For adults looking for an upscale, signature dining experience a host of premium venues are available (for an additional charge) including, Palo Steakhouse, combining authentic Italian dining with the refinement of a modern steakhouse; Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, offering gourmet, French-inspired cuisine in a romantic and intimate atmosphere; and The Rose, an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner cocktail.

In addition to the sit-down, full-service restaurants, there are plenty of other places to grab quick, convenient meals, and snacks with a variety of dining options, including quick bites, casual dining, 24-hour room service, and specialty cafes — including Café Megara and Café Merida, two new walk-up cafes just off the Grand Hall inspired by Disney Animation’s “Hercules” and Pixar Animation Studios’ “Brave.”

Looking for that after-dinner treat or a little something after the show? The Incredibles take over the top-deck sweet shop as super-hero fashion designer Edna Mode creates Edna Á La Mode Sweets. The confectionery will contain creations from Edna’s lab including gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies, and specialty treats.

Entertainment brings the Hero’s Journey to life

For over 100 years, Disney’s entertained families, and Disney Cruise Line is no exception with entertainment throughout the ship. Disney Destiny will feature a mix of new experiences and returning shows from other ships that immerse families in the heart of familiar stories. The previously mentioned Grand Hall and Saga set the stage for family entertainment with shows, games, activities, meet & greets, and more with some familiar characters.

Every evening a Broadway-style theater production takes place in the glamorous Walt Disney Theatre, and debuting on board will be an all-new production of Disney Hercules. Also, performing on the Disney Destiny will be Disney Seas the Adventure and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. Seas the Adventure debuted on the Disney Wish and features Captain Minnie Mouse helping Goofy to find his confidence alongside a cavalcade of Disney and Pixar characters. “Frozen” allows kids to let it go during this retelling of the modern classic Disney animated film on stage.

Other entertainment options onboard the Disney Destiny include:

  • Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, a roguish nighttime spectacular featuring a live rock band and Disney Cruise Line’s famous fireworks at sea;
  • “The Incredibles”-themed family competitions and free-play sports at Hero Zone, a futuristic sports arena where physical activity blends with imagination;
  • Disney Uncharted Adventure, an interactive experience that uses guests’ mobile devices to join favorite Disney and Pixar heroes on virtual quests throughout the ship; and
  • All-you-can-watch complimentary movie showings at the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas, with daily showings of classic and first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more.

Fun under the sun on top of the Disney Destiny

On the upper decks of the Disney Destiny are where families can play the day away together with three themed districts for water fun, casual dining, and places to relax and soak up the sun.

In an expansive district themed to Mickey and friends, families will discover seven pools staggered among tiered decks, an abundance of luxe lounge chairs, an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist, and the AquaMouse water coaster/dark ride.

The AquaMouse water coaster ride is a signature attraction of the Triton Class ships, and Disney Destiny is no different. This time AquaMouse will feature a quirky storyline filled with villains from Disney Animation. AquaMouse is a 760-foot-long attraction circling the ship’s upper deck, and the new show will highlight the silliness of the Mickey Mouse animated shorts.

In “Sing a Silly Song,” Mickey and Minnie will lead guests on a seemingly ominous trek to the peak of Villain Mountain. When faced with some of the most fearsome villains of Disney Animation lore, the duo will employ a silly song — and a bit of pixie dust — to transform each chilling encounter into a wacky surprise. Guests will laugh and splash along as Queen of Hearts (“Alice in Wonderland”), Scar (“The Lion King”), Chernabog (“Fantasia”), and others find themselves in unconventionally hilarious situations.

“Sing a Silly Song” will be one of four shows available on AquaMouse aboard the Disney Destiny, all complete with music, lighting, special effects, and splashtacular surprises.

Little cruisers will enjoy their own water splashground themed to Pixar’s “Toy Story” designed especially for families with toddlers and young children including a splash zone, wading pool, family waterslide, and smoothie bar.

Adult fun when the sun goes down on Disney Destiny

Aboard the Disney Destiny, adults can explore, relax, dine, and play with venues, offerings, and entertainment tailored just for them. Nearly every bar and lounge aboard the ship will feature brand-new designs and menus inspired by the larger-than-life personalities of epic Disney stories, brought to life through elevated interpretation and refined theming.

Center stage and open to the Grand Hall will be De Vil’s piano lounge celebrating the wicked antagonist looking to skin puppies, Cruella de Vil, from “101 Dalmations.” The adult exclusive lounge hosts a bold, over-the-top style, in Cruella’s signature color palette of red, black, and white. Entertained by a pianist on their Dalmatian-spotted piano, guests can enjoy trendy, chic cocktails dressed in their Hollywood-glam finest.

Join the crew at the Cask and Cannon pub themed for the iconic Disney theme park attraction “Pirates of the Caribbean.” There will be plenty of rum for everyone, so “drink up, me hearties, yo ho!” Cask and Cannon is the place to catch live sporting events, sip rare, vintage rums, and even sample a selection of “bootlegged” brews developed specifically for the lounge and served “pirate-style” from the barrel.

Disney Destiny gets the first lounge inspired by Marvel Studios “Doctor Strange”. The Sanctum is filled with mystical artifacts and magical items to help powerful sorcerers protect our world. Inside The Sanctum, guests will find a large circular mirror similar to the window in Doctor Strange’s own Sanctum in New York City as they sip on speciality drinks, cocktails, and coffees.

Those who like their entertainment on the “spooky” side, can head to the Haunted Mansion Parlor. A lounge serving spirited craft cocktails and themed after the classic 1969 Haunted Mansion Disney Park attraction. Characters from Haunted Mansion attractions worldwide along with a ship captain ghost from an original storyline will socialize with visitors enjoying the nostalgic music and humor from the classic ride. The Haunted Mansion Parlor will first “materialize” on the Disney Treasure launching in December 2024.

Other adult-exclusive spaces on board the Disney Destiny include:

  • Previously mentioned dining venues include Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose.
  • Quiet Cove is a top deck peaceful refuge in sun-drenched serenity set away from the bustle of family activities that will include an infinity pool, poolside bar, and chic café.
  • Senses Spa, a tranquil oasis that will offer spa and beauty treatments in private treatment rooms, lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms; and Senses Fitness, a fully equipped exercise and wellness facility.

The concierge staterooms and suites utilize the watercolor artwork from Disney’s 1940 film Fantasia. Four royal suites take on heroic proportions and are themed for superheroes and Greek gods. The Hero Suites celebrate Disney’s “Hercules” with Greco-Roman architecture, colors, and patterns, while the IncrediSuites offer a streamlined mid-century modern style from the Pixar film.

As Tony Stark lives in the lap of luxury, the Destiny Tower Suite takes on a Stark Enterprises penthouse style to honor Iron Man’s legacy. Set high in the ship’s forward funnel, this one-of-a-kind suite will offer incredible views of the top deck and beyond through an expansive two-story window. With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Destiny Tower Suite will comfortably sleep eight guests and feature designated areas for eating, sleeping and playing, as well as other perks like a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator.

In November 2023, Disney Cruise Line opened a dedicated cruise terminal at Port Everglades, and committed to basing a ship in Fort Lauderdale year-round. At the time, Disney said a second ship would be joining at Port Everglades in 2025, and now we know Disney Destiny is that vessel.
