MSC World America’s family friendly features promise prime sea vacation

Aiming for the “ultimate family vacation at sea,” MSC World America’s family friendly features will include the largest kids club in the MSC fleet when she debuts in April 2025. Other MSC World America’s family friendly offerings include an expansion of the line’s ongoing partnership with LEGO. The ship will have the first LEGO themed parade at sea, a LEGO family game show, a LEGO master builder area, and more. The highlight of MSC World America’s family friendly spaces will be the Family Aventura district spanning two decks (19 & 20) completely dedicated to families, kids, and teenagers. Matteo Mancini, senior manager of youth entertainment for MSC Cruises, said “We specifically listened to our young guests from North America to design our kids and family offering. We are bringing a variety of extraordinary facilities and new experiences never seen before!”

As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises takes pride in its kid’s offerings, tailored to deliver unforgettable cruise experiences for children of all ages. Matteo Mancini added, “MSC Cruises has 22 ships sailing all over the world with ~600K children and teens sailing fleet wide each year. That means there are about 2,000 children and teenagers on each ship for every cruise. As a family company, our owner is the grandfather of children, and the executive CEO is the parent of teens. They want families to be happy on the ships.” MSC World America’s family friendly concepts take everything to a new level with the company’s largest and most technologically advanced kids area yet. Spanning more than 10,000 square feet across seven different rooms designed for guests in various age ranges from 0 to 17, families can expect a new range of experiences, taking vacations on board to new heights.

LEGO is a long-time standing partner of MSC Cruises’ kid spaces for years, and MSC World America will have even more LEGO on board including:

More family fun only on MSC World America

Matteo Mancini notices on MSC ships that kids and teens are meeting families from all over the world, with all different cultures and languages. He said the secret to his job is doing focus group meetings with teenagers every three months, and some of MSC World America’s family friendly experiences have come from these discussions such as:

  • Boxes family game show: Families will get the chance to compete in “Boxes,” a new fun-filled family game show where each mystery box will contain a blind challenge to beat in order to win prizes.
  • High-tech experiences: Specifically created for teenagers, Star Shooters is an adventure course in the Sportplex with targets for participants to hit and rack up points for a win. Virtual Reality at Luna Park will give guests access to the latest VR technology experiences, transporting them to other worlds from MSC World America.

Home to seven rooms dedicated to different age groups from 0 to 17 years old, it will also be the most technologically advanced kids area of the fleet with the latest tech consoles on the market, and stunning light and sound effects. Baby services are offered in collaboration with Chicco – the leading global baby brand and a long-term MSC Cruises partner. Exclusively on MSC World America, the popular Kids’ Clubs will be open all day, from 9am until midnight, for the duration of each voyage.
