One of the busiest booths at this week’s Seatrade Cruise Shipping Miami conference (besides Mexico’s when they were giving out free beer) was that of STX Europe, the builder of Royal Caribbean’s upcoming newest ship. The reason for the crowd was their model of that revolutionary ship, Oasis of the Seas. Here are some more pictures of the model and information about the ship.
Oasis of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world, will span 16 decks, carry 5,400 guests at double occupancy and feature 2,700 staterooms.
She will be the first ship to tout the cruise line’s new neighborhood concept of seven distinct themed areas, which include Central Park, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.
The ship will sail from her home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Additional information is available at www.oasisoftheseas.com.
Thank you for posting these pictures – This ship is mammoth! WOW!!!
