Following two years of construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas arrived in Port Canaveral, Florida. The ship was welcomed to its home port as more than 2,000 crew members celebrated across Utopia of the Seas vibrant hued Caribbean pool deck that includes thrills such as the longest dry slide at sea, The Ultimate Abyss, to the signature FlowRider surf simulator.

Next up is a 3-night naming cruise departing July 15, headlined by an onboard concert by Grammy-award winning pop star Meghan Trainor. The singer-songwriter was recently revealed as the godmother of Utopia of the Seas, and will perform live from the ship’s AquaTheater.

Utopia of the Seas official maiden voyage departs July 19 from Port Canaveral on a 3-night cruise to Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas, Perfect Day at CoCo Cay, followed by a stop at Nassau, Bahamas, and back to its Florida home port. The ship will alternate between 3- and 4-night Bahamas cruises in what Royal Caribbean dubs the “Ultimate Short Getaway.”

Utopia of the Seas offers more than 40 ways to dine, drink and celebrate; five pools for different ways to thrill and chill; and stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay – Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas.
