Royal Caribbean recently announced it was adding two sailings to Oasis of the Seas inaugural season: a four-night voyage to Labadee departing Dec. 1, 2009 and a seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary, departing Dec. 5, 2009.

Guests booked on the original inaugural sail date of Dec. 12, 2009 will be contacted by their travel agent or a Royal Caribbean representative, and given the opportunity to move their cruise vacation to either the Dec. 1 or Dec. 5 sailing.

On the four-night itinerary, guests will make a call at Labadee and enjoy two days at sea. When Oasis of the Seas arrives at Labadee it will not only mark the ships first port call but it will also herald the opening of new facilities and debut an array of activities and shore excursion options at the private beach destination, including the worlds longest zip line.

The seven-night itinerary, meanwhile, will call at St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Nassau, Bahamas.

Inaugural guests will receive a special commemorative certificate to mark the occasion and will obviously be the first to enjoy a host of venues and amenities plus the premiers of the AquaTheater light and water shows, productions in the Opal Theater and Studio B ice-skating rink.

Hailed by Royal Caribbean as the worlds largest and most revolutionary cruise ship ever built look for seven distinctive onboard neighborhoods – the 220,000-ton vessel will span 16 decks, carry 5,400 guests at double occupancy, and feature 2,700 staterooms. Look also for bi-level, urban-style Loft Suites; two bedroom/two bathroom AquaTheater Suites; plus exterior staterooms with balconies facing Central Park and Boardwalk neighborhoods.

The ship will be home-ported in Fort Lauderdale.
