Gorn’s Gong Show just one of many activities for upcoming Star Trek cruise

Who wouldn’t want to be gonged by a Gorn? Well, probably lots of people, but if you’re a Star trek fan, it may be one of those things you didn’t know you wanted because you didn’t know it was a thing. Well it is, and it’s just one of the many activities planned for Star Trek The Cruise VII on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas out of Port Canaveral Feb. 22 – 29, 2024.

When we previously wrote about this Star Trek cruise last May, we told you how they said it was almost sold out. Well it seems they still have some rooms left. Here’s a list of the planned activities from their most recent newsletter:

Q’s Costume Contest: This event showcases the incredibly elaborate and outrageous costumes proving there are no limits to the imagination of Star Trek cruisers. The top contestants will be selected by the prejudging panel, and the winners will be chosen by the audience! The categories are:
Replicator (most realistic depictions of Star Trek characters),
Elaborate (most intricate & complex Star Trek costumes),
Mash-up (Merging characters from other fandoms into Star Trek),
Out-of-Universe (for guests in non-Star Trek costumes).

If you book by Feb. 1, 2023, they have onboard credit available. For Interior, Ocean View, and Ocean View Balcony cabins, receive $50 per person in onboard credit. For Junior Suites, receive $100 per person in onboard credit.
